I had a great experience. I came in to complete 30 days in recovery from Alcohol and Marijuana abuse and felt great since the first week I got here. Now that I have completed 30 days I feel ready to stay sober and more continue this new beginning. The staff is amazing and the people I have met here really helped motivate me in my recovery. I am grateful for this experience.less

I’m building a foundation

I’m 58 years old… Don’t take as long as I did to do this. Please… If you need a treatment facility. If you need someplace to go, call American Addiction Centers. They can help because they know the way home.

I understand why I have a problem

Any problem that I’ve ever had, drinking was involved… They give you the tools or help the build foundation to be successful when you leave.

I don’t want to be the person I was

I have got to fix me so I don’t drink and go back to old behavior. That is what I learned here. How to fix my behavior, how to deal with life… I’m confident about going home.

This place saved my life

I was sick & tired of hurting my family. I was in denial big time… Finally I’m going uphill … Its the best decision of my life.

Physically & mentally, I feel stronger.

I got tired of seeing everyone smiling and being happy… asking myself “what are they so happy about?”. I want to feel that… It has changed my life. In some ways, it's saved me from me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is smoking allowed at your rehab center?
You are permitted to smoke at our facilities, but only in designated smoking areas. Be aware that you can bring your own cigarettes with you to treatment, but they'll need to be in an unopened pack or carton. You're also allowed to accept packages from your family and friends that contain cigarettes, but they must be factory sealed packs or cartons. Please double check the rules when you talk to our staff or at checkin.
Do you accept pregnant women?
If you are pregnant and medically stable, Oxford Treatment Center can accept you into our program. However, the decision is up to our facility staff.
Will someone pick me up from home, the airport or bus station?
Our drug and alcohol treatment facility in Mississippi can provide transportation services to you on both and inpatient and outpatient basis. Please inform us of your travel arrangements so that we can coordinate pick up times.
Do you offer translator services or programs in languages other than English?
If translation services are necessary for a patient, Oxford will do everything they can to provide these services. They are included on an as-needed basis. Please be aware that while we make every attempt to partner with anyone who is trying to reach recovery, some of our facilities are more likely to have the specific translation service you need than others. It’s important to provide us with the information regarding your translation needs as soon as possible so we can make the necessary accommodations.
What is the cost? How do I pay for it? Will they accept my insurance?
From facility to facility and person to person, the cost of addiction treatment varies on what is provided and what is needed by the patient. Our alcohol and drug treatment center accepts private insurance plans at Oxford, and you can also pay out of pocket if you’d like. We know that sometimes that can be difficult, so we work with you to set up a payment plan if it’s needed. You can learn more about how to pay for treatment on our website.
What happens if there is an emergency?
You can attend treatment at Oxford knowing that it’s our first and foremost goal to keep everyone on the premises safe. In the case of a natural disaster, we will make sure patients and employees alike are either relocated or released as needed. In certain extreme situations, we’ll stop accepting patients to a facility altogether until after the danger has passed. If you experience a medical emergency, our medical professionals will follow any directives you provided when you were checked into our facility, and will alert your point of contact. As a loved one to a patient, you can contact Oxford at 662-281-9992 if you have an emergency at home.
Can couples attend your rehab center in Mississippi together?
We welcome anyone who is seeking treatment for addiction, including couples. You won't be able to share a room, though, as our facilities split accommodations into male and female rooms.
Is treatment voluntary and can I leave anytime I want?
Although we recommend staying in treatment for the duration of your specific program, your attendance at our facility is voluntary and you may leave if you so choose. If you do choose to leave before you’re finished and/or against medical advice, we provide counseling for the transition.Contact an emergency service if you or a loved one is currently in immediate need for help. You can reach the SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357 or the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
