Oxford Welcomes New Medical Director
On March 25, 2022, Oxford welcomed Dr. Lucas Trautman, MPH, as the facility’s new medical director.
Dr. Trautman is an award-winning psychiatrist with a reputation for delivering individualized and highly compassionate patient care. He also brings a wealth of international experience as an addiction psychiatrist to Oxford Treatment Center, a renowned facility for patients struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Before joining the treatment team at Oxford, Dr. Trautman conducted a private psychiatry practice where he worked with children, adolescents, and adults and ensured that his practice was a safe space for the LBGTQ+ community. Dr. Trautma’s extensive experience also includes work with diverse populations spanning from orphanages in Southeast Asia to young athletes in the Hawaiian Islands.
Dr. Trautman is excited to bring his passion for mental health care to his new position and work together with the team to enhance the quality patient care Oxford provides. “After having met the clinical and medical staff, I’m impressed with the team’s skill and empathy, and I’m eager to work with them as patients’ lives are transformed,” Dr. Trautman said.
Dr. Trautman also brings to Oxford expertise an effective medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorders. Oxford CEO Mark Stovall expressed his excitement about Dr. Trautman’s experience, stating, “His passion, wealth of knowledge, and extensive background in addiction and general psychiatry for patients of all ages and walks of life will be a welcome addition to our medical team.”
