  • Aetna bronze plans.
    Bronze plans offer the lowest monthly premiums but have higher deductibles and more out-of-pocket expenses. These are ideal for individuals who do not visit the doctor often and prefer to keep their monthly premiums low. Once the deductible is met on an Aetna bronze plan, Aetna covers approximately 70% of all medical expenses.
  • Aetna silver plans.
    Silver plans have higher monthly premiums than bronze plans with lower deductibles and fewer out-of-pocket expenses. These plans are ideal for those who see the doctor frequently. Once the deductible is met, Aetna will cover approximately 80% of all healthcare expenses.
  • Aetna gold plans.
    Gold plans have the highest monthly premiums and lowest deductibles. Gold plans are ideal for individuals who have ongoing medical issues that require frequent doctor visits and/or are on prescription medications. Once the deductible is met on this plan, Aetna covers 90% of all healthcare expenses.

Individuals who have a low income or diagnosed disability may be eligible for Medicaid, a government-funded health insurance program. Aetna offers Medicaid insurance plans in 16 states.5
