New outpatient office serves Memphis area
Olive Branch location improves access to treatment, recovery services
Oxford Treatment Center has opened a new outpatient office to better serve patients, alumni and families in the Memphis, Tenn. area.
The Olive Branch Outpatient Office opened in mid-March and is located at 9320 Railroad Ave. in the Old Towne district. Olive Branch lies in DeSoto County as one of several Mississippi cities in the greater Memphis area.
“This new location will improve our ability to provide support and follow-up care to patients who are completing treatment at Oxford Treatment Center and returning home to the Memphis-DeSoto County area,” said Billy Young, CEO.
The addition is a natural one, since 35 percent of Oxford Treatment Center’s patients are from the Memphis area. Oxford Treatment Center works closely with acute-care providers in the area, complementing their services with a longer-stay residential treatment program as well as programs for family members.
Services provided by the new Olive Branch Outpatient Office will include drug and alcohol assessments, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), drug testing, intervention services, and counseling for individuals, groups and families.
Primarily, Young said, the office’s focus is supporting Oxford Center alumni in recovery.
“Studies show that the longer a patient and their family can stay connected with their treatment program, the better their clinical outcomes will be,” Young said. “Having this base in the Memphis area will allow us to continue providing services like medication management, aftercare and 12-step support.”
