Why Telehealth may be Right for You
Going to treatment may be a little intimidating for some. Especially with the fear of COVID transmission. There are individuals struggling with an alcohol or drug addiction who need help right now because their lives may depend on it, but the fear of contracting the coronavirus is a very real threat as well.
How can Oxford Treatment Center help? Oxford, an American Addiction Centers’ treatment facility, offers telehealth rehabilitation services. This gives therapists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals the ability to connect with and to help individuals wherever they are across the country.
With fears of COVID-19, as well as travel restrictions that change often due to the pandemic, those struggling with alcohol or drug abuse can still take advantage of immediate solutions. Waiting until the pandemic ends or when the rest of the world returns back to normal just isn’t an option. Life is still “happening,” even through this global crisis.
The solution that Oxford offers through its telehealth services includes:
- Group therapy.
- Family sessions.
- One-on-one therapy.
- Follow-up care.
Individuals can access these services over the phone or through the computer. Options are available to ensure that you’re getting what you need when you need it.
If you choose telehealth services, this is what’s expected of you:
- A discussion with one of our admissions navigators in order to choose the facility that will best serve you.
- Because confidentiality is important to us and to our patients, we provide HIPAA-compliant video conferencing. You will have to provide permission for Oxford to treat you remotely.
- You’ll be provided an access code. And with it, each time you need to sign in for group therapy, a meeting, or any appointment, you will use this code.
Choosing in-person treatment at our facility or choosing to access our care remotely provides you with the same quality of care either way. Not only did we receive an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, we are accredited with the Joint Commission, which exemplifies our commitment to improving health care safety and quality. We are also accredited with CARF, which means Oxford Treatment Center is committed to ongoing improvement of the services we provide, serving the community, and encouraging feedback.
Whether you choose to enter our facility in person or virtually, you’re health, safety, and treatment of your addiction are our priorities. This is true while we’re in the pandemic, as well as after this global crisis comes to an end or is under control. We are here for you.
And should you change your mind about whether to use telehealth services in order to simply attend treatment in person, here is more information about what we offer.
